Fueled by innovation through discovery, the RTRX Innovation Space allows attendees to experience creativity and big ideas in action. Exclusive, hands-on experiences give attendees a unique glimpse into the new technology, services, and thinking of businesses and institutions that are building the future.

We are excited to showcase local companies, including Banzo Bites, EmpowerBus, LittleSeed, PopCom, PULLL, SMRT Columbus, and the OSUCCC – James, who are charting a new path forward for a broad set of communities.

LITTLESEED

LittleSeed transforms the patient and family experience with needle-based procedures and ongoing treatments from tears and anxiety into laughter, interaction, and wonder. Working with clinical professionals, we reimagine the clinical and patient experience, creatively blending cutting edge technology like mixed reality with original content to build highly engaging, clinically appropriate tools.  LittleSeed is evolving the patient experience, improving a lifetime of outcomes for patients and families, and working to eliminate the fear and anxiety often associated with a doctor’s visit or treatment.

OSUCCC – James

At The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James), our vision is to create a cancer-free world, one person, one discovery at a time. This underlies everything we do in working to eradicate cancer through research that translates to innovative and highly targeted patient care.

The OSUCCC – James is the only cancer program in the United States that features a National Cancer Institute (NCI)–designated comprehensive cancer center aligned with a nationally ranked academic medical center and a freestanding cancer hospital on the campus of one of the nation’s largest public universities.

PELOTONIA - pulll

PULLL is a fundraising app, developed and powered by Pelotonia, that allows users to generate funds for cancer research through exercise (cycling, running, or walking). PULLL is free for anyone with a smartphone and is available in the App store or the Google Play store. By introducing a community and a cause to fitness tracking technology, we believe we can change the health outcomes for those with cancer and improve the health of PULLL users—ultimately leading to healthier communities nationwide!

SMART CITY

The City of Columbus’ Smart Columbus plan won the U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) $40 million Smart City Challenge in June 2016 after competing against 77 cities nationwide to become the country’s first city to fully integrate innovative technologies – self-driving cars, connected vehicles and smart sensors – into its transportation network. Columbus was also awarded an additional $10 million grant from the Paul G. Allen Philanthropies to accelerate the transition to an electrified, low-emissions transportation system. Aligned investments totaling more than $500 million have been made by the private, public and academic institutions in the region to support technology and infrastructure investments that upgrade Columbus' transportation network and help make Columbus the model connected city of the future. Smart Columbus is a regional smart city initiative co-led by the City of Columbus and Columbus Partnership that includes partnerships with The Ohio State University, Battelle, American Electric Power and many more.
